When does snowmaking start?

When the temperature stays below -4°C for at least 4 days in a row.

How does the system work?

6 modern snow cannons. Water is sprayed under high pressure and freezes in the air.

Key factors:

• Air humidity — the lower it is, the easier
• Temperature — below -4°C (with low humidity, even -1°C works)

Why does it have to be carefully planned?

The snow must be plentiful enough to be spread with a groomer. Too thin a layer risks damaging the dry-slope matting.
