How to dress your child for skiing?
For a child to take part in ski lessons comfortably and safely, it's worth getting the outfit right.
Clothing suited to the weather
Don't dress your child in clothes that are too thick – children warm up quickly.
Waterproof trousers are essential
Children often fall and lie in the snow. The trousers' snow gaiters should not be tucked into the ski boots.
Gloves – protection and comfort
- Waterproof
- The right size
- Avoid woollen gloves
Eye protection
On sunny days it's worth bringing sunglasses to wear under the helmet.
Balaclava and goggles
- Balaclava — not essential, the helmets are insulated
- Goggles — not needed at low speeds
Remember to stay hydrated
Bring a thermos of warm tea or a bottle of water.
