Over 700 metres of downhill track in Szczęśliwicki Park — two-person cars run on rails down the slope of Warsaw’s highest hill. One of the favourite attractions for kids in Ochota, running from spring to autumn — during the ski-slope renovation too.
The gravity coaster is a track laid on the slope of Górka Szczęśliwicka with cars running on rails. The track is over 700 metres long — a lift takes you up; gravity takes you down through bends and dips. The cars reach speeds of up to 36 km/h, and you control the pace yourself with a brake in the car. The whole ride takes about 3–4 minutes.
The cars are two-person and fitted with seat belts and a brake. Children aged 3–8 ride only with an adult, and older ones can ride alone according to the operator’s rules — a safe first “roller coaster” for little ones and fun for adults too.
The coaster is run by the city (Aktywna Warszawa / CSN Szczęśliwice). It operates in the spring–autumn season (April–October) — in recent seasons daily from 10:00 to 20:00 (ticket office until 19:30). Buy tickets at the centre at ul. Drawska 22; confirm current hours and prices with the operator before your visit.
The coaster is often part of the programme of our summer day camps in Szczęśliwicki Park — younger children then ride only with an instructor.
In summer a second attraction runs next to the coaster: tubing rides down the slope of Górka Szczęśliwicka. You slide down a marked track on a big inflatable tube — a kind of summer sledging that requires no skills, so it works great for children and whole families.
Tubing in Warsaw is a rarity — and at Górka Szczęśliwicka you get it in one place with the coaster, the park and the open-air pools. Buy tickets at the centre’s ticket office at ul. Drawska 22 (Aktywna Warszawa); confirm availability, hours and prices with the operator, as the attraction is seasonal and weather-dependent.
The coaster is part of a bigger complex: right next to it you have Warsaw’s highest peak with a viewpoint, the park paths (great for roller skating and walks), a lake, playgrounds and open-air pools in summer. In winter — from the 2026/2027 season after the renovation — the ski slope returns with new lifts, where we run ski lessons and snowboard lessons.
